Case study - how to permanently solve problems with procrastination, laziness, postponement
I myself faced discipline problems and did not achieve my goals.I admit that I have problems with discipline and without it I cannot achieve the goals I am striving for.I stopped doing the chaotic actions of the start and quit series, and began to immerse myself in theory.
Discipline is not a rigid schedule, but the ability to manage yourself.
Each of us knows what he needs to succeed, but simply does not choose the actions that will lead him there. I suggest two steps for developing self-management skills: learning to see and choose what needs to be done.
The first step to take is to learn to see. The problem is that most of our actions take place automatically. That's why we start doing something, and then we're like, damn, you come to your senses when you're on the phone. But even if we see that we are not doing what needs to be done, most likely we will continue to do bullshit, as it will be difficult for us to switch. That is, this is the very moment when you've been sitting like this for a long time, you realize that you've been fucking sitting for a long time, but you still don't start doing what needs to be done. And in this regard, the second step is to learn how to choose what to do. That is, to learn how to manage yourself, so that you have discipline, we need only two steps. The first is to teach yourself to see, to see the very moment of choice when you are faced with the task of either working or merging, that is, in any case, we will choose something. The second is to teach yourself to make the right choice.

The self-development trap (and how not to fall into it)
Let's start by acknowledging that our inherent nature as humans is geared towards continual growth and development. The need to categorize self-development separately highlights our deviation from this intrinsic state.
While social media can be a powerful tool for positive purposes, it demands a heightened level of responsibility. This responsibility necessitates not just self-awareness and discipline but a clear understanding of one's objectives. Without this clarity, there's a risk of falling into the "productivity" trap, a cycle characterized by consuming endless self-help content without tangible progress.
Engaging in activities like watching motivational videos, saving quotes on Instagram, or scrolling through TikTok may initially seem harmless. However, the danger lies in the illusion of progress that these activities create, offering a mere dopamine boost without genuine development.
The cycle can lead individuals to immerse themselves in a fantasy world where they imagine becoming the best version of themselves, akin to the pitfalls found in video games. To escape this trap, the initial step is raising awareness, as exemplified by reading these lines.
The subsequent crucial step involves translating internet-acquired knowledge into real-life actions, transforming what was once a trap into a constructive tool for progress. In a world abundant with opportunities, there's no reason why individuals can't shape the lives they desire. Reclaiming control over one's life and actively implementing learned principles will undoubtedly lead to tangible improvements.
